Introduction in  NETWORK



A network is a group of two or more computer systems linked together.

 There are many types of computer networks, including the following:




  • local-area networks (LANs): The computers are geographically close together (that is, in the same building).
  • wide-area networks (WANs): The computers are farther apart and are connected by telephone lines or radio waves.
  • campus-area networks (CANs): The computers are within a limited geographic area, such as a campus or military base.
  • metropolitan-area networks MANs): A data network designed for a town or city.
  • home-area networks (HANs): A network contained within a user's home that connects a person's digital 
    devices.


    Network Characteristics


  • topology : The geometric arrangement of a computer system. Common topologies include a bus, star, and ring. See the Network topology diagrams in the Quick Reference section of Webopedia.
  • protocol : The protocol defines a common set of rules and signals that computers on the network use to communicate. One of the most popular protocols for LANs is called Ethernet. Another popular LAN protocol for PCs is the IBM token-ring network .
  • architecture : Networks can be broadly classified as using either a peer-to-peer or client/server architecture.
  • Computers on a network are sometimes called nodes. Computers and devices that allocate resources for a network are called servers.
    . To connect two or more computers together with the ability to communicate with each other.

    The idea of hacking may conjure stylized images of electronic vandalism, espionage , dyed hair, and body piercings.most peopole associate hacking with breaking the law and assume that everyone who engages in hacking activities is criminal. granted,there are peopole out there who use hacking techniques to break the law ,but hacking isn't really about that . In fact, hacking is more about following the law than breaking it.
    the essence of hacking is findding unintended or overlooked uses for the laws and propreties of a given situation and then applying them in new and inventive ways to solve problem .



    Hacker is a term for both those who write code and those who exploit it. Even though  these two groups of hackers have different end gaols, both groups use similar problem-solving techniques .Since and an understandingof exploitation helps those those who program , many hackers do both, thre are intresting hacks found in both the techniques used to write elegant code and the techbnique used to exploit programs. Hacking is really just the act of finding a clever solution to problem.
    the hacks found in program exploits usully use the rules of the computer to bypass security in ways never intended .
    programming hacks are similar in that they also use the rules of the computer in new and invensive ways.
